- Reproduction from the Benaki Museum in Greece. The silver plate was probably made in Egypt in the second half of the 6th century A.D. The central medallion, framed by three incised lines, has a relief of Eros riding a dolphin and holding a knife. Silver plates were made for the sophisticated Byzantine aristocracy.
