Greek Coin Reproduction - Head of Alexander

  • This reproduction of an ancient Greek coin features the head of Alexander, represented by Herakles. On the reverse side is Zeus seated with his right arm extended. The inscription reads in Greek 'of Alexander'. Alexander was King of Macedonia and most of the known world from 336-343 BC - a great accomplishment, since he died at age 33. He was well-educated and Aristotle was one of his teachers.
