This enamel 3D relief pin is inspired by Michelangelo's Pietà. The Carrara marble sculpture was created c. 1498-1499 as a funeral monument for the French cardinal, Jean de Bilhères. The famous piece depicts the body of Jesus on the lap of his mother, Mary, after the Crucifixion. The pin features a double post and rubber clasp backings.
