Geological layers of sedimentary rock, and the idea that our history is locked up in each layer, are the inspiration for this handblown glass vase. Created by Thomas Spake, a glass artisan from Chattanooga, Tennesee, who draws inspiration from the splendor of the natural world. He focuses on color combinations found in the seasonal patterns created by the play of light on the forest floor or textures born of centuries of erosion by wind and water.
