A number of elegant bronze bowls with swivel handles have been found in Lydian tombs of the Achaemenid period. The interior of a patera, from the Getty's antiquities collection, inspired this 22K gold leaf jewelry adaptation. These earrings feature a design of rosettes framed by three concentric rings. Using an intricate process, each piece of jewelry is gilded and burnished by hand, then finished to a rich patina. Designed exclusively for the Getty and made in the USA.

Achaemenid Persian silver drinking sets and other vessels from tombs in Lydia and elsewhere in Asia Minor survive in some quantity and demonstrate the importance of such objects as indicators of status in the Achaemenid Empire. Dependence on the fashions of the royal court are evident, but some of the finds from Lydia are of distinctively local types.
