Michelangelo's Moses is a faithful reproduction. He is shown seated, his body faced forward, his head with its mighty beard looks left, his right foot rests on the ground and his left leg is raised so that only his toes touch the ground. The original sculpture is housed in the church of San Pietro in Vincoli in Rome.
