This reproduction of an ancient Greek coin features the head of a young Dionysos wreathed in ivy. Dionysos is the Greek god of wine, pleasure and festivity. He is often featured as a long-haired youth, pictured with his attributes of a drinking cup, leopard and fruiting vine. The reverse side of the coin depicts Herakles holding a club and with a lion skin over his arm.
