2021 Wall Calendar - Monet's Passion: The Gardens at Giverny
Fascinated by color, light, and atmosphere, impressionist Claude Monet spent decades creating a tapestry of hues and textures in the flowers and foliage that surrounded his Giverny home, a living laboratory for the artist to study the everchanging natural world. Monet's splendid gardens abound with dazzling blossoms and graceful greenery, set off by the flash and dapple of his lily pond. Photographer and horticultural designer Elizabeth Murray volunteered during the gardens' restoration and returns regularly to record their seasonal transformations. Her photographs presented here are accompanied by concise descriptions.
