The Corinthian style helmet appeared at the end of the 8th century BCE, and remained in use until the Classical period (ca. 480–323 BCE). Similar helmets were worn by the Greeks during the Greco-Persian Wars between the Achaemenid Empire of Persia and Greek city-states from 499 BCE until 449 BCE.
