This silk scarf is inspired by the Zodiac of Dendera. The Zodiac is a relief carved into the stone roof of the chapel of Osiris at the Hathor Temple at Dendera in Egypt. The round carving depicts four women and eight falcon-headed spirits holding up the "sky disc," inside which is represented the signs of the zodiac. Some of these are familiar to us, such as the Taurus bull, whereas others are more reminiscent of ancient Egypt. The relief is now housed at the Musée du Louvre in Paris, France.
