Beautifully designed banners first flew above the streets of Los Angeles in 1997 to herald the opening of the Getty Center. Since that time, they have promoted rotating exhibitions at both the Getty Center and Villa Museums. Because the vinyl fabric has been exposed to outdoor elements, slight inconsistencies are to be expected. Produced in Los Angeles exclusively for Getty. Quantities are limited.
Sold as a set of 2. The banners are being sold on a first come, first served basis, as the supply is very limited. All banners incorporate mandated air vent cutouts.
Shipping and delivery: Banners ordered now will be cleaned and shipped to customers approximately 4-8 weeks after the exhibit closes on July 21st, 2024.
- Each banner measures 35" W x 96" H (approximately 3' W x 8' H)
- The vinyl banners can be cleaned with a damp cloth
- Item #: BNRCCSET
Celebrated for her brilliance during a time when women sculptors were rare, Camille Claudel (1864–1943) was among the most daring and visionary artists of the late 19th century. Although she is remembered today for her dramatic life story—her passionate relationship with artist Auguste Rodin and 30-year internment in a psychiatric institution—her art remains little known outside of France. Including about 60 sculptures, this major exhibition seeks to reevaluate Claudel’s work and affirm her legacy within a more complex genealogy of Modernism.
