Getty Exhibition Banner (set of 2) - Persia: Ancient Iran and the Classical World

Beautifully designed banners first flew above the streets of Los Angeles in 1997 to herald the opening of the Getty Center. Since that time, they have promoted rotating exhibitions at both the Getty Center and Villa Museums. Because the vinyl fabric has been exposed to outdoor elements, slight inconsistencies are to be expected. Produced in Los Angeles exclusively for Getty. Quantities are limited.

Sold as a set of 2. The banners are being sold on a first come, first served basis, as the supply is very limited. All banners incorporate mandated air vent cutouts.

Shipping and delivery: Banners ordered now will be cleaned and shipped to customers approximately 4-8 weeks after the exhibit closes on August 8th, 2022.

- Each banner measures 35" W x 96" H (approximately 3' W x 8' H)
- The vinyl banners can be cleaned with a damp cloth
- Item #: BNRSPAI

Ancient Iran, historically known as Persia, was the dominant nation of western Asia for over a millennium (about 550 BCE–CE 650), with three native dynasties controlling an empire of unprecedented size and complexity. This exhibition, part of the Getty Museum’s program The Classical World in Context, explores the artistic and cultural connections between the rival powers of Iran, Greece, and Rome. Works on view include royal sculpture, spectacular luxury objects, religious images, and historical documents assembled from major museums in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
