Getty Exhibition Banner (set of 2) - Tim Walker: Wonderful Things

Beautifully designed banners first flew above the streets of Los Angeles in 1997 to herald the opening of the Getty Center. Since that time, they have promoted the J. Paul Getty Museum's rotating exhibitions. Because the vinyl fabric has been exposed to outdoor elements, slight inconsistencies are to be expected. Made exclusively for the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles. Quantities are limited.

Sold as a double-sided set of 2. The banners are being sold on a first come, first served basis, as the supply is very limited. Each banner has an image on one side and the text on the other. All banners incorporate mandated air vent cutouts.

- Each banner measures 35" W x 96" H (approximately 3' W x 8' H)
- The vinyl banners can be cleaned with a damp cloth
- Made in California
- Item #: BNRTWSET

Shipping and delivery: Banners ordered now will be cleaned and shipped to customers approximately 4-8 weeks after the exhibit closes on August 20th, 2023.

Tim Walker burst onto the photographic scene in the early 1990s with a series of spectacular editorial images that captured the spirit of the times, weaving together past and present, reality and fantasy. The Victoria and Albert Museum in London (V&A) began collecting Walker’s work in 1998, and their long association made his photographs a natural subject for the Museum’s latest cycle of contemporary projects, including this collaborative exhibition of richly imaginative images inspired by Walker’s research into the V&A and Getty Museum collections.
