This beautifully detailed reproduction is decorated in the Marine style, featuring an octopus motif. Stirrup jars were primarily used for storing and transporting liquids, especially valuable fluids such as oil and wine. Their design, with a false spout for holding and a narrow pouring spout, made them well-suited for controlling the flow of liquids.
