Minoan Kamares Chalice

Inspired by Middle Minoan Kamares ware (c. 1900–1700 BC), this handcrafted terracotta chalice features a distinctive high handle and a decorative band of star-rosettes and floral scrolls. Its design draws on ancient vessels displayed in the Heraklion Archaeological Museum.

The original vessels served as elite tableware for royal banquets and ritual libations in Minoan palaces. Prized for their craftsmanship, they were also exported as luxury goods across the ancient Near East and Egypt.
